Cold storage facilities present one of the most difficult challenges for fire sprinklers: water freezes. A frozen pipe is a broken pipe. We specialize in dry-pipe and double-interlock pre-action systems for freezers and refrigerated warehouses.
To combat the risk of "ice plugs" forming from condensation, we utilize nitrogen generators to fill the piping network with 98% pure dry nitrogen instead of compressed air. This inhibits corrosion and ensures that the system remains clear and ready to activate, even at -20°F.
